Emergency Medical Technician

Anderson Valley, Ukiah, Lakeport, and Fort Bragg

Description: This course prepares students for both Emergency and Interfacility transports of sick and injured patients as well as the National Registry EMT test which is required for certification. Classes are offered in Anderson Valley, Ukiah, Laytonville, Lakeport and Mendocino. This course is certified with both Coastal Valleys EMS and North Coast EMS.

Time: One semester (160 hour) training. This includes classroom instruction as well as ambulance ride along time and training in an Emergency Room setting.

Salary Potential: $11-$18 per hour

Cost: $322 plus approx. $200 for books and a $20 material fee; financial aid may be available

Pre-Requisites: CPR card; (Health 202 recommended)
